What is Alliance Women?
Alliance Women is a ministry for women focused on what we can accomplish together for Christ. Our theme this year is 'On the Move' with a focus on "Becoming Mature in Christ Through the Exercise of Spiritual Disciplines." On the Move in reaching people for Christ and on the Move to get our physical bodies in shape.
At Shelby Alliance, we want to be relevant to the diverse lives of women from a young woman preparing for her future, to the stay-at-home mom, to the working mother or wife.

What does 'Alliance Women' do?
Our Alliance Women's ministry is the foundation for the work we do with the Mali Project. Once or twice a month women meet at the church for a "Mali work day". We go through boxes shipped to our church to prepare them for shipment to Mali Africa. This includes rolling bandages, sorting "Mama Packs", separating sutures by size, and more. It is a vital ministry with opportunities for many to serve. In fact, by separating lots of items that come shipped as a mixture it makes for easier access once arriving in Africa.
