His second passion to his love for Christ is golf. If it is nice out and the work day is over, you'll find him on the golf course. His wife is Cheryl. Elder: Greg Friebel. Greg runs his own business working in the bath and kitchen remodeling business along with traveling to help others who work in the Dreammaker Corporation. His wife is Sharon. Elder: Dick Mott, a retired elder who is both a fisher of men and loves to fish on Lake Erie. Dick is not old but rather older, a favorite saying of his. His wife is Karen. |
Matt Peyton (The Youth Guy)
My wife, Wendy, and I, met at the Ohio State University. We have been married for 5 years and have three wonderful children (Bethany, Josiah, and Jacob).
I grew up in the Mansfield/Shelby area and have attended this church for most of my life. I first felt my call to ministry in high school but struggled as my heart was not ready at the time. I attended the Ohio State University for 3 years before getting married and starting my family. While at OSU, I led a Campus Crusade for Christ Bible study once a week on campus. God continued to lay his call upon my heart and, in 2006, I stepped into the youth position here. I have been serving part-time with our youth for the past 5 years. Through my time working with the teens, God has reaffirmed my call to full time ministry. I am currently attending Crown College to finish my bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry. I will graduate in the spring of 2012. |
Jean Viers (Secretary)
As a semi-retired nurse, I needed a job to keep me busy and the church needed someone to handle the calls and packages coming in for the Mali Project. I was a good fit for that need as I am part of the Mali Project team and my nursing experience helps with answering the many questions that come in. Along with the Mali Project I handle the weekly bulletin and other information boards around the church.
My husband, Mike, and I spend our spare time with our two children and their families and spoiling our 5 grandchildren. |
